Financial statement and ratio analysis are assumed knowledge areas and will not be covered in depth. A core objective of this online course is to provide the corporate credit bankers and credit risk officers with a holistic view of all the core business areas and business risks that will allow a potential corporate client to develop a successful business. • Assessing Market and Industry risk and their impact on the client’s credit risk position.
  • Identifying and assessing the credit impact of external risk factors

  • Assessing the impact of the economic business cycle on the company’s credit risk position.
  • Industry analysis and the importance of assessing trends and developments in the client company’s core industry and how this can affect the company’s credit risk.
  • Sources of due diligence for industry analysis and indications of how to undertake effective industry analysis due diligence
  • Peer analysis and monitoring to assess the relative performance of the client
  • The importance of trust in management and analysing management risk in lending.
  • The importance of effective and detailed management due diligence and why this is one of the key areas of analysis for effective holistic credit risk analysis.
