This 3 day interactive training course will provide delegates with a deeper dive into the rapidly developing Green, Social, Sustainable and Sustainability-linked loan and capital markets internationally. Sovereign, corporate and financial institutions/asset managers are responding to governmental, investor/lender and environmental activists who increasingly require a strategic company position to be taken towards climate change, worsening social conditions post-pandemic and governance issues. This course considers best practice (EU regulations and EU taxonomy) within the landscape of ESG providing vital context to the way in which ESG loans are structured, verified, reported & managed.
This course will assume some familiarity with fixed income products and will consider best international practice into how Green, Social, Sustainable and SLBs are structured, marketed and managed. This will include a detailed consideration of processes related to Green bond pre-issuance, issuance and post-issuance (green frameworks, supporting processes, book-building and reporting). The International Capital Market Association’s (ICMA) bond principles and the Loan Market Association’s (LMA) loan principles will be used to underpin the learning and case studies.
Case studies will include developed and emerging market examples of GSS issuance programmes, strategies and frameworks to give delegates insight into the complexity and commitment required to demonstrate UNSDG alignment.
